Obituary of Nina Ethridge Fowler

Nina E. Fowler of Charleston, 97, widow of Herbert. B. Fowler entered into eternal rest on October 31, 2015. She was born July 31, 1918 in Columbus County, NC, daughter of Doward and Eda Ethridge. She was a retired employee of Roper Hospital, Charleston, SC, and a long-time member of Essex Village Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sons, five sisters and five brothers. Surviving are two sons; Larry W. Fowler (wife Patty) of Yulee, FL, and Gary G. Fowler (wife Janice) of Sumter, SC, three daughters, Caroline G. Benton (husband Jimmy), Hanahan, SC, Linda K. Tanner (husband Teddy), Meggett, SC, and Phyllis A. Fowler, Charleston, SC, 20 grandchildren, and 42 great-grandchildren. The family is forever grateful for the loving care provided by her care-givers, Ella, Lilly, Helen and Cathalina, who along with her children made it possible for her to remain in her home during her final days. Visitation will be at the funeral home Chapel at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services, 7475 Peppermill Parkway, Suite E., North Charleston, SC on Wednesday November 4, 2015, from 12:15 PM-12:45 PM. Funeral services immediately following. Interment in Carolina Memorial Park at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Essex Village Church of Christ.
