Obituary of James E. Johnson

James E. Johnson, Sr. (81) passed away on Aug. 4, 2014 in Charleston SC. Born on Sept. 17, 1932 in Toledo OH to Edward & Lucille Johnson. Jim was a very kind, loving, generous and loyal friend to all those who had the privilege of sharing his life. He will be dearly missed. Survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Barbara A. Johnson, sons James Jr, and Jay, daughter Kirsten (Williams – Al) and 4 grandsons. Preceded in death by his parents, Edward & Lucille Johnson, sisters Jane Tillman and Lucy Ruff. Jim served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict and spent his life pursuing various business ventures. Most importantly, the start up and success of his own oil and gas exploration company, Ohio Natural Fuel Company, which was his passion. There will be no calling hours or public service per Jim’s wish. A private celebration of Jim’s life will be shared with family and close friends on Monday evening on Johns Island; with another celebration to be held in Ohio in September for Ohio family and friends.
