I don’t think there is enough room on this wall to share memories I’ve had with Momma Nance aka Momma P,
and the Persons.
I was lucky enough to Meet Geoff at the bus stop when we were in grade school probably 2nd and we became friends.
Jen was allowed to hang out with us, even though she was younger, (she was cooler then Geoff) shhhhh
Then I met Warren and Nancy and realized
They were WAYYYYY COOLER than Geoff or Jen lol
They took us to their summer house and as we grew up then taught me a lot
Warren taught me important life lessons like....... HOW TO cross-thread a spark plug in a boat motor..... and HOW TO break a car windshield with a highway sign ... when you’re trying to load it into your car and (borrow) it for the basement wall.
Nancy taught me that you can put up with things that others do.
She also taught me Warren, Geoff, and Jen just couldn’t hang!!!
Many nights we would stay up,
Momma P having box wine, me with a beer... Us just laughing and laughing.
Everyone else would fall out... Warren first
Geoff next, then Jen. Leaving Momma Nance and I to finish a couple more drinks and stories.
Momma P offered advice to me about life, relationships, money, cooking, and video games lol (yes, I finished Leisure Suit Larry and Police Quest......all thanks to Momma P)
I must admit she was not like any other parent.
She got parental respect... but also managed to be a friend to us younger people.
She would call you out for bad behavior but then laugh about it the next night.
I can’t express how truly blessed I was to have been accepted into the Person Family.
It was amazing how loved Momma Nance made me feel.
I will always be grateful to have the memories I do.
I hope that in the not so distant future we can all find a day to get together. We can pour a glass of box wine then
we will raise it and Toast
One hell of a woman
