Tom was a strong man with a keen mind and a great memory for facts. He was a good father and grandfather, generous, with a cheerful demeanor and good sense of humor. Tom fought valiantly for many, many years against the ravages of diabetes, which would have destroyed most people years before; but he never gave up. He was blessed to have Ann, his strong and dedicated wife, at his side giving extra special care for his disabilities.
Life does not always go the way we expect and plan, and Tom's life hit a big bump in the road very early. But strong people make the best of their situations, whatever they are; Tom and Ann powered through adversity and were successful at getting the most they could from life.
I am thankful for Tom's friendship over the past 40+ years and will always remember the good times we had together.
Tom, your battle is over; may you rest in peace with the Lord!
